(and their training manuals also clearly state)
this technique should never be taught and for safety reasons.
Theatrical eye-focusing techniques.

The NGH Hypnosis Certification Training

This training program offers a comprehensive and an in-depth approach to the spectrum of hypnosis techniques. It is designed to offer those preparing for a professional hypnosis practice the greatest advantage. Through the NGH curriculum, proven beneficial Hypnosis programs are presented for helping individuals resolve problem areas in clients' lives.  Additionally, record keeping, effective marketing, advertising, and many other aspects of how to set up a successful practice are presented.

The course, presented in five, weekend seminar classes, includes 100 hours of instruction, homework, practice, (practicum) and externship. Classroom: 75 hours plus 25 hours of homework, practice sessions, and/or practicum.  A dynamic seminar format consisting of lectures, Q & A, demonstrations of processes and techniques, hands-on supervised practice using the latest tools and techniques learned in class. Additionally, practical self-hypnosis techniques for stress, and tools for well-being are covered in class. Through direct experience, students receive the most valuable aspects of each approach in hypnosis.

Students form pairs to utilize the tools and techniques introduced during class. Refinement is accomplished during the instructor's rounds of critique, and later discussed as an entire class. This has proven to be very successful for accelerated learning, and the students enjoy the process.

Graduates can utilize hypnotism as a career or as an adjunct to an existing professional career in medical, teaching or counseling.  You will have the tools to become self-employed with your own private practice or to gain employment with medical health care professionals or alternative/complimentary health care professionals. Upon successful completion of this course and the required assignments or practicum, you will be awarded your NGH Hypnotist Certification.

Q: What will my certification enable me to do?

A: After your training is completed, you become an NGH Certified and may choose your title from the following:  Certified Hypnotist, Certified Hypnotherapist or Certified Consulting Hypnotist.  At this time, hypnotism is a certified, not a regulated profession in Arkansas. You are entitled to practice and earn your living as certified by the National Guild of Hypnotists.

Q:  What kind of organization is the National Guild of Hypnotists?

A:  The NGH is the largest and most prestigious worldwide hypnosis certifying organization. It has regular educational conferences in New Hampshire with over 1500 participants. There are also NGH sponsored legal advocates who participate in legislatures all over the country representing the Guild’s members. The Guild is highly supportive, having a lending library of videos and audio tapes, referrals, legislative support, regular local meetings in Arkansas for CEU credit, and much more. You can also obtain liability insurance through The Guild.

Q:  Is there any legislation pending that will affect me in Arkansas?

A:  Currently, there is no legislation pending in Arkansas. In the event that it happens, the NGH has legislative advocates who are protecting the profession of hypnotism.

Q:  Why should I choose Arkansas Hypnosis Career Seminar School?

A: Arkansas Hypnosis' curriculum is based on time honored and proven hypnosis techniques. We also teach the latest in the psychobiology of hypnosis.  Arkansas Hypnosis is dedicated to upgrading the training and depth of instruction.  The classes are typically small enought that you get individual attention.  This training provides you with the opportunity to create your own hypnosis programs in the class, as well.

When you complete the course, you'll have the tools and skills needed to work with most of the challenges presented to hypnotists. You also  have the opportunity to gain more expertise and obtain your CEUs by attending advanced classes offered throughout the year.

Classes held within the offices of Arkansas Hypnosis provide a model of a clean, quiet, aesthetic and inspirational environment in which to learn and fashion your own practice if you choose to.

Many students are amazed that they not only learn to help others, but their own lives improve profoundly in the process by practicing the techniques they learn in this course.  Small classes encourage the creation of a bonded community with other new hypnotists and hypnotherapists, and this provides support for you.

                                           CONSUMER ALERT

You are advised to give careful consideration to correspondence courses or any kind of distance learning for training as a hypnotist.  Live demonstrations and supervised hands-on practice with spontaneous critiques are essential to hypnotism training which is intended to lead to an effective, successful practice. Correspondence courses are very limited in their potential to train a person to become a hypnotist or hypnotherapist.
