Little Rock Hypnosis The Practice Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is hypnosis? Hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness in which we allow ourselves to become highly responsive to suggestion. Guided Self-Hypnosis is effective for adults, teens and children. From ages 6 to 96, guided self-hypnosis provides a relaxing, imaginative, and self-empowering means of creating positive change by upgrading how we think on the deeper, subconscious level. Guided self-hypnosis is a tool, and when used correctly, we are simply "training" the mind and the brain to think on a higher level.
Everyone is advised to give caution to advertisements about hypnosis that reflect atypical results and wildly exaggerated claims. Don't fall for improbable weight loss figures, inflated success statistics or statements that lead to unrealistic expectations. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. You do not want to risk your health or deserved degree of success by believing "smoke, fog and mirrors" advertising. Please choose your practitioner carefully. Visit the "CAUTIONS" page of this website for further infomation regarding your choice of practitioners. 2. Is it sleep? No, you are not asleep. Your conscious mind, or 'critical factor', the analytical part of your mind, becomes subdued, not asleep. The subconscious mind becomes open, highly focused and receptive to the skillfully crafted beneficial suggestions that it can choose to accept or reject. 3. So, I don't have to give up control? That's right! Each and every one of us has the choice to accept the helpful suggestions or reject them at any time. You are in complete control. You will not do or say anything in hypnosis that you would not do or say while consciously alert. Also, no one can make another go into hypnosis ... you either want to or you don't. Hypnosis is a subjective state ... you allow yourself to drift into it. 4. Does it work and can anyone experience hypnosis? Yes! Hypnosis is a very effective method of eliminating unwanted or bad habits, learning new skills, and of creating both positive behavioral changes and healthier lifestyles. Anyone can experience success from hypnosis. 5. How much does a hypnosis session cost?
Initial Visit $250.00 (Typically 2 hours) Booster/Subsequent Visits $125.00 per hour (Typically 1 hr. visits)
The cost depends on you ... your goals and commitment level. Most one-on-one sessions are recorded to CD for self-hypnosis reinforcement and one session may be sufficient for your situation or goals. The initial appointment includes the consultation to identify your goals, an assessment of your history and challenges, a short tutorial detailing how the hypnosis works, an action plan, and the hypnosis session. Your CD of the hypnosis session is recorded live for you to use as reinforcement. This way, your reinforcement is customized, specific to you and your situation or challenge.
The initial visit is normally two hours and costs $250.00. Subsequent*, follow-up or "booster" visits are typically one hour at $125.00 per hour.
Gift certificates are available all year long, for any giving occasion! Just ask and we will send your customized, specific-to-your-occasion gift certificate to you or directly to your recipient.
* The following 3 Programs initial appointment are ALWAYS 1.5 to 2 hour visits: Weight Loss, Smoking Cessation and Dipping Cessation due to the extensive amount of information shared. Most other sessions can be accomplished in one hour typically, once the initial visit that includes the tutorial is completed. 6. Are the sessions group or one-on-one? Most sessions are conducted one-on-one, however group sessions are also available. Call Little Rock Hypnosis for details and special group or corporate pricing for corporate facilities or businesses. 7. Is Hypnosis approved by the AMA (American Medical Association)? Yes. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Also personal checks, debit cards and cash. 11. Re-Booking Policy: Scheduling conflicts happen. 48 hours advance notice of need to cancel/reschedule is required so that your timeslot may be booked by another client needing an earlier appointment. Re-booking an appointment without 48 hours notice will now require a deposit. When you call to reschedule, have your credit card handy to reserve your appointment. There is NO CHARGE to reschedule your appointment, provided you make your established appointment. If you do not make the second booked appointment, your card will be charged for the appointment.
"No Call / No Shows" will not be re-booked (at the discretion of the hypnotist). Again, DJ Lynch prefers to work with clients who take their commitment to creating positive change seriously. Please do not book an appointment if you do not intend to keep it.
